Remember to season them as soon as they come out of the oil. Traditionally served with mayo-ketchup (1:1 ratio blend of mayonnaise and ketchup with fresh pressed garlic or garlic powder to taste)."

Perfect side dish or appetizer!! The name 'araƱitas' means little spiders and refers to the shape they take when fried. Make sure the plantains are very green or it will have a different texture...

These are terrific! My daughters loved them and called them "banana fries". I have never used plantains before. They are difficult to peel but I figured out a good way. Cut the end off and slice...

I serve these at parties with garlic oil & everybody loves them!
