  1. Preheat an oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Whisk 1 cup of flour with the salt in a mixing bowl. Mix in the softened butter until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Stir in the ice water until a dough forms. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  3. Place the berries in a mixing bowl, and sprinkle with 1 1/4 cups sugar and 6 tablespoons of flour. Stir in the water until moistened, and scrape into a 2-quart baking dish. Roll the dough on a floured work surface to 1/4-inch thick, and cut into 3/4-inch strips. Place onto the berries in a crisscross pattern. Scatter the diced butter over top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until the berries are tender and the crust is golden brown, about 30 minutes.

I cheated and used store bought pie crusts that are in rolls but followed the recipe exactly for the rest. This is absolutely fantastic. Just made the second one this week.

I had never made a cobbler before, so I tried to pick the simplest-sounding one. I stand convinced, and so does everyone else who's been lucky enough to be around when I've taken this to a get-t...

I made this cobbler this weekend with some berries that were in the freezer from summer and it was amazing!! The only change I made was I used half white and half brown sugar (because we love b...

Good recipe. I made a couple of minor changes. The dough was a bit too stiff and dry, especially after refrigerating so I added another 3 TBS of ice water. I used less water (only 1/4 cup in ...
