Original recipe yields 4 to 6 servings

Directions

  1. Brown ground beef in medium skillet on medium-high heat until cooked through. Drain. Stir in peanut butter, taco seasoning mix and water until blended. Cook and stir 5 minutes.
  2. Combine lettuce, chopped tomatoes, onion and beans in large serving bowl. Stir salsa and dressing in small bowl until blended. Pour over lettuce. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. Sprinkle 1 cup crushed tortilla chips on top of lettuce. Spoon meat mixture on layer of chips, then top with cheese. Sprinkle remaining chips around edge of bowl. Garnish center with additional chopped lettuce, tomato wedges, avocado slices and sour cream. Serve immediately.

Wow! What a surprise! This is very good - everyone in the family loved it! My daughter and I were driving home from basketball practice and stopped at the store. I had her pick a recipe from the Allrecipes spinner app for dinner and this is the one she picked! We WILL be making this again. Thank you!

Very very good! My husband actually gave this a 4.75 stars and he never does that. I used store brand taco seasoning, restaurant salsa leftover from take out, half the black beans called for, and a mix of Catalina and Deluxe French since I was nearly out of both. No one said anything about the peanut butter flavor, although I noticed it but maybe because I was the cook and knew it was in there. Thanks we will make this again!!!!
