Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Beat together shortening, butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla in medium bowl until light and fluffy. Mix in flour, baking soda and salt.
  3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls or use small cookie scoop. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
  4. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to cooling rack after 1 minute.

very easy and very good! i topped it off with a little bit of cinnamon and it was very good!!! everyone loved it!

It could have five stars if they werent so salty...my advice, skip the salt and they should be fine :)

my girls loved these cookies! I wanted to make sugar cookies, but didn't have much regular sugar left, just brown. found this recipe and it was a hit!
