Original recipe yields 4 sandwiches

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the garlic; cook and stir until the garlic has turned golden, about 2 minutes. Stir in the chopped chile peppers, and cook for 1 to 2 minutes more. Add the shrimp and cook until they are bright pink on the outside and the meat is no longer transparent in the center, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the lemon juice, seasoned salt, black pepper, and cilantro, and cook for another minute to incorporate the flavors. Pile the shrimp onto the toasted French bread and serve. Use any liquid remaining in the skillet as dip for the sandwiches, or pour over it the sandwiches before serving.

"Wow!!! So good! I will admit I don't know what Anaheim chili peppers are, and they didn't have any at the grocery store, so I used jalapenos. Also, since I was using jalapenos and cilantro, lime juice..." See more seemed like a better option than lemon juice, but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. Incredible flavor, the perfect amount of spice. I would have happily paid for these in a restaurant! Thank you so much for the recipe, this is going permanently in my dinner rotation."

"We really enjoyed this. I was not sure about the Anaheim Green Chili (by the way they are a very mild green chilies) but they were really good in this. I followed the directions with one exception ..." See more- once the shrimp were done I removed them from the pan and allowed the sauce to reduce a bit to thicken up. Excellent dish and really quick too."
