  1. Place ground beef into a soup pot over medium heat, and cook and stir until the meat is browned, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks, about 10 minutes. Stir in onion and garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 more minutes. Drain excess grease if necessary, and sprinkle the meat with taco seasoning mix; cook the meat with the seasoning for 1 or 2 more minutes.
  2. Pour in the chili-flavored tomatoes, chili beans, tomato sauce, and diced green chilies, and stir to combine; simmer for 30 minutes to blend flavors.

I used this simple recipe as is. It certainly is easy and not bad for a throw together meal for the kids.

I made this as a quick chili sauce for chili dogs. Because I'm on a budget and because it was cheaper this week, I did use ground turkey. I also used a homemade taco seasoning mix. After tasting it, I did add more taco seasoning than the recipe asked for. Not a bad recipe, it worked well to make chili dogs.

This was really pretty good. I wanted chili dogs and just came across this recipe. Actually just lived up to its' name. Very nice. Thanks for posting the recipe.
