Original recipe yields 2 -1/2 cups



  1. In bowl of blender or food processor, combine beans, onions, tomatoes cilantro, garlic, jalapeno, if desired, cumin, olive oil and lemon juice. Puree until smooth, about 2 minutes; season with adobo.
  2. Transfer bean dip to bowl; season with Adobo, to taste. Serve with vegetables.

Wow! This is so easy to do and soooo tasty! Can't stop eating from the bowl. Black beans are a great source of soluble fiber, and have 15 g of fiber per cup. Yummy!



I forgot to drain the black beans so mine came out really tasty but a little thin. Make sure you drain the beans. Also, I left out the oil and some other ingredients that I didn't have on hand and it was great.

I love this recipe, it was very easy to fix. I added salsa and a few more jalapenos to this recipe for some extra flavor since I did not have the adobo seasoning and it turned out great!
