Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease 12-inch pizza pan. Unroll dough; place in greased pan. Starting at center, press out dough to edges of pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until crust begins to brown.
  2. Meanwhile, cook beef in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain. Stir in sloppy joe sauce. Spoon beef mixture over crust. Sprinkle with cheese.
  3. Bake an additional 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown. Top with tomatoes and onions.

I just made this and ate a couple slices and it was great! Reminded me of elementary school-style pizza I had growing up. I used extra lean beef and a shredded cheddar/mozzarella combo. Great!

I loved this sloppy joe pizza. I had some leftover sloppy joes and needed to do something new and different with it. This was great! I added a little barbecue sauce. I left off the sliced tomatoes as I don't like them. This would work for taco meat instead of sloppy joes or just plain hamburger and some onion for a cheeseburger pizza. The possiblilities are only limited by your imagination with this one.
