Original recipe yields 2 13x9-inch cakes' filling

Directions

  1. Whisk water and cornstarch together in a large saucepan.
  2. Stir strawberries and sugar into the water.
  3. Cook strawberry mixture over medium heat until thick, about 10 minutes.
  4. Allow to cool completely before use.

Perfect I didn't change anything followed as written though I used fresh strawberries since I had plenty left over from another recipe.
