Original recipe yields 12 burgers

Directions

  1. Mix ground turkey, zucchini, seasoned bread crumbs, onion, egg whites, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Form into 12 patties.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat; arrange patties in skillet and cook until no longer pink in the center and juices run clear, about 4 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

My husband really doesn't care for zucchini or ground turkey but he liked these. He said they weren't over the top great but he did eat it all. The patties tried to crack and fall apart on the grill, so pan frying might have been a better method. Served on a whole wheat bun & a side of coleslaw.

This recipe does nothing to the original except add some grated zucchini. I could make this recipe just as healthy by topping the burgers with some pickles and lettuce.
