Original recipe yields 1 9x13-inch dish

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mix peaches, blackberries, 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  3. Pour butter into a 9x13-inch glass baking dish and evenly coat the bottom and sides. Whisk flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl; mix in milk, stirring just to moisten dry ingredients. Pour batter into prepared baking dish and distribute fruit mixture evenly over the batter.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until cobbler is golden brown, about 45 minutes.

I believe there is a typo on this recipe. Too bad because it is really very good. I believe that the baking powder should be 2 tsp not 2 Tablespoons. I made this using 2 teaspoons of baking powder and it is a 5 star recipe. As written with 2 Tablespoons baking powder it is doomed to failure. Hopefully the submitter bakerchic12321 will see this and notify AllRecipes so they can correct it. Thanks so much bakerchic12321.

I think there is too much baking powder in this recipe--gives it a funny taste. Would 2 teaspoons be the correct amount?
