Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
  2. Meanwhile, cook Johnsonville(R) Mild Italian Ground Sausage in a 10-inch nonstick skillet until meat is brown; drain. Set meat aside. Wipe skillet with paper towel.
  3. Spread about half of the cooked pasta in the skillet. Cover with about half of the Classico(R) Tomato and Basil pasta sauce. Spoon cooked meat over Classico(R) Tomato and Basil pasta sauce. Sprinkle with 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Top with remaining pasta and sauce. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over top.
  4. Cook, covered, over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes or until heated through and cheese melts. Remove skillet from heat and let stand, covered, for 1 minute.

This was a quick and easy recipe. I was able to find the noodles, too. This is also going into rotation for camping meals. Serve it with a tossed salad, make some campfire garlic toast and then you have an awesome and tasty meal.

I couldn't find the small lasagna noodles and didn't want to buy a whole box of regular noodles so I used medium shells... worked great... they held the sauce & meat perfectly. Good flavor but I might use 2/3 Italian sausage & 1/3 ground beef next time as I am not a big sausage fan. Quick, easy, delish and out of town guests enjoyed!
