This is a refreshing and delicious melon drink that is easy to make and super tasty too! If this is too much for your blender, then make it in two batches and combine in a pitcher. If you are able to chill before serving it is delicious! Great for an afternoon grill session!

  1. Put the cantaloupe in a blender. Pour sweetened condensed milk and water over the cantaloupe; blend until smooth. Serve over ice.

I made this using a lot less water, only 2 cups and didn't add ice, just refrigerated after making it. This filled up a blender. Start with 2-3 cups of water then add to taste. Very refreshing!




My take: ice 1c milk 1slice cantaloupe 1/2t cinnamon drops of vanilla




How about blending the cantaloupe with a lot less water and then just mixing the remainder of the water and milk in a separate container. We are not robots here and have the intelligence to think outside the box. As far as sugar goes, it can be adapted to taste, that is also a no brainer. I would agree to add a few drops of vanilla extract. My mom usually blends half the cantaloupe and cuts the rest in chunks and throws it in the pitcher; this is just personal preference. This a traditional agua de melon recipe, excess sugar is usually added because it Is traditionally made in large amounts and a lot I ice is added to keep it cold, when served, a lot of the ice has been melted and will water down the sugar. If making a small batch just adapt sugar to taste. My mom also adds a special food coloring to it but it is not sold in the states and it is just for presentation. As my brother calls it, this drink is the nectar of the gods.
