Directions
- In 2-quart saucepan, heat cooking sauce and meatballs over medium heat about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly heated.
- Place each bun on serving plate. Fill each with 6 meatballs; spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons sauce over meatballs. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup cheese. Top with bell pepper and onion. Serve with remaining sauce as dipping sauce

I know Progresso won't like hearing this, but I didn't find much to differentiate their Fire Roasted Tomato Recipe Starter from a can/jar of pizza ..." See moresauce that you'd buy at the store. Another thing that I wasn't crazy about was the consistency. It's too thin, really wasn't suitable for spooning over the meatballs, just made the bread soggy. In spite of that, it's Friday night when I seldom cook much, and it was an easy dinner served with a big tossed salad. I used mozzarella and topped with my homemade pickled jalapeños. Doubtful I'd make again."
