  1. In 12-inch skillet, heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add steak, onion and bell pepper. Cook 5 to 6 minutes, stirring frequently, until beef is no longer pink; drain well. Add cooking sauce and steak seasoning; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce is hot.
  2. Set oven control to broil. Place tops of rolls, cut sides up, on cookie sheet. Place slice of cheese on each. Broil with cheese 4 to 6 inches from heat 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese melts. Spoon steak mixture on bottom half of each roll; place top of roll on each.

  • Short on time? Replace the onion and bell pepper with a frozen mixture of sliced peppers and chopped onions. Find it in the freezer aisle.
  • Montreal steak seasoning is a spice mixture of coarse ground pepper, salt, garlic powder and other flavors.

We actually enjoyed this very much. I did doctor it up with some garlic, fresh mushrooms, and a little white wine during. The flavor was rich and the meat was very tender.

We thought this was a good sandwich because it made a little steak go a long way. I followed the recipe except for using pepper jack cheese rather than provolone. I think I would prefer this w...

This was okay.I was only able to get 6 sandwiches from this recipe. A little bit of worchestshire sauce would go a long way in here, and some extra steak seasoning. I had some baby bella's in th...

Nice flavor and the sauce thickened nicely. A little salty for my taste but overall a hit with the family!
