  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch pan.
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter in a bowl; press into the bottom of the prepared pan to make a pie crust.
  3. Beat sweetened condensed milk, eggs, and vanilla extract together in a bowl. Fold walnuts and dates into the milk mixture with a spatula; pour into prepared pie crust.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 35 minutes; cut into bars while still warm. Place each square on a cupcake liner to serve.

I just tried this recipe for the first time and it's so easy. I cut the recipe in half just to try them. I also used figs instead of dates and almonds instead of walnuts because that's what I had In my pantry. I also used flax as an egg substitute to make them a little healthier. Everything else was as the recipe called for. They tasted delicious right out of the oven and I look forward to trying them after they have cooled down.

This was delicious! I think I'll try it with some of my other favorite dried fruits: apricots, dates, maybe even raisins.
