Original recipe yields 10 servings

Directions

  1. Whisk eggs in a large bowl until well blended. Whisk in chocolate milk and bananas.
  2. Dip bread slices into egg mixture; let soak briefly to coat both sides. Remove bread, letting excess egg mixture drip back into bowl, and place in a large lightly buttered or oiled frying pan over medium heat. Cook bread for a few minutes on both sides until golden brown.
  3. Serve topped with bananas and strawberries, if desired, and drizzled with syrup. Or, spread with jam.

I cut the ..." See morerecipe in half to give it a try and am glad I did. I used thick cut Texas toast and all I added was a cinnamon and vanilla extract to the egg mixture. When these were nice and crispy I dusted them with powdered sugar, a dollup of butter, sliced bananas and drizzled some real maple syrup over top - a really nice treat for breakfast with a glass of OJ!"
