“This lighter version of French toast casserole eliminates the sugar and butter, yet still tastes great. Make it the night before and pop it in the oven in the morning for fuss-free breakfast morning prep!”

I let it sit overnight in the fridge, like the recipe suggested. I also put a few little pieces of 1/3 less fat cream cheese cubes (about 2 ounces total) over the top. It was good, but I did have to pour the syrup on it and sprinkle it with powdered sugar to give it a sweet enough taste for me. Maybe I just have a sweet tooth!

I had some leftover Italian bread and this recipe was a great was to use it up. I added some over ripe bananas that I needed to use up also, and it came out nice.
