Directions

  1. Mash bananas and brown sugar together in a bowl. Transfer to a small saucepan, place over medium heat, and cook until bananas begin to brown, about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Gradually mix 1 cup milk into bananas and heat until mixture begins to steam. Stir honey and cinnamon into mixture until honey has dissolved.
  2. Pour banana mixture into a blender no more than half full. Cover and hold lid down; pulse a few times before leaving on to blend. Puree until smooth. Blend remaining 1/2 cup milk into mixture until creamy.

I don't know if the recipe submitter had an issue blending hot liquid in his/her blender but I did. Even half full, it tried to spew all over my kitchen. What I was able to salvage was tasty. Different, but tasty. It's like drinking liquidy banana bread. NOTE: For those who want to blend this, maybe cooking the banana/brown sugar mixture, then blending it with cold milk and warming it after it's blended might be a smarter way to go.

I was expecting this to be good because I love bananas and banana milkshakes but this was...weird. Not very good. I wouldn't make it again.

Delicious! I added about double the cinnamon and brown sugar, and I used molasses instead of honey. It still came out great! Overall, I would just add a bit more spices:)
