Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare a large deep-dish pie pan with cooking spray.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Break ground beef into small pieces and add to hot skillet; cook and stir until the beef is crumbly and no longer pink, 7 to 10 minutes. Drain and discard any excess grease. Season drained beef with taco seasoning.
  3. Press refrigerated dough into the bottom of the prepared pan. Spread refried beans in an even layer onto the dough. Spread sour cream into a layer atop the refried beans. Sprinkle ground beef evenly over the sour cream; top with salsa and Cheddar cheese.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted and bubbly and crust has browned, 25 to 30 minutes.

"My family loves this recipe. To make it a little healthier (and lower in salt), I use ground turkey instead of ground beef, homemade taco seasoning mix, and homemade salsa. I like to make a "taco bar"..." See more with bowls full of diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, chopped onion, sliced olives......anything that you would add to a taco to make the meal stretch. There's never any leftovers."

"We really liked this recipe. It was easy to make. I made it in an 8x11 glass cake pan. The rolls fit in perfectly and went up on the edges a little which made a real nice crust. Used homemade taco sea..." See moresoning and salsa. The salsa was rather watery so I simmered it in the ground beef for a while. (Probably had closer to 2 lbs ground beef- didn't measure.) If you like spicy, add some cayenne, I didn't cuz hubby doesn't like real spicy, but I think it would of been good. I pretty much made as is, but I'm sure it could be changed up for variety."
