  1. Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Saute white and red onion, garlic, bell pepper and peanuts for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, water, onion salt, garlic salt and cayenne pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer at least 30 minutes; simmering for 1 1/2 hours is optimal.

This is *so* good!!!

I really enjoyed this recipe. I used one large bell pepper instead of two and it was plenty. I served it over brown rice, which worked beautifully. I had never had peanuts in a soup or stew bef...

This was OK, it would be better if more things were added, like maybe carrots, celery, and a ton of salt. Will try again with modifications.
