"This is a super simple recipe that can be used with any fish. I just happen to like cod a lot. You throw the ingredients in a foil pouch, then steam in the oven. A true no-brainer meal."

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Cut 4 large squares of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Brush each fillet with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Place each fillet in the center of an aluminum foil square. Lay lemon slices down the length of each fillet and sprinkle garlic slices and chives over the top. Fold foil over the fish and turn the edges over 2 or 3 times; flatten to seal the packets.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, 15 to 20 minutes.

Great recipe: simple but delicious. (I'm no fan of olive oil to cook with, so I used butter. Worked fine.)

This tastes great and it's so easy to make.

This was a super easy dinner to make, and no dish to clean made it a hit with me! I cooked this on the grill in the packets so I didn't even heat up the house. They took less time to grill. P...

This is a tasty way to prepare cod, or any white fish. I misread the recipe and put the garlic under the lemon, which made it rather strong. It did take more like 30 minutes for my fish to bak...

This was so good!!! The only thing I did different was used a little bit of lemon pepper seasoning. It was melt in your mouth good!!! Thanks for a great recipe!!

We tried this and it and liked it a lot. The only thing we did differently was to put the fish in a pan rather than on foil, because the acidity in the lemons can react badly with foil.

I just made this and followed the simple directions to the letter using very fresh cod. This was bland and tasteless. I cook salmon regularly in a similar way, but with cod this method infuses v...

Pretty good, a little bland, used garlic salt and lemon pepper, baked in oven in foil for 45 min, fat piece of cod.

This was my first fish recipe ever, I made this for my in-laws and husband. In all honesty I didn't like but it was through no fault of the recipe I just learned I was not a cod fan. The ones I ...
