Original recipe yields 6 servings

Directions

  1. Mix whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl using a spoon. Pour in water and oil; mix until dough no longer sticks to the bowl. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 to 8 minutes.
  2. Transfer dough to a greased bowl; cover bowl with a clean towel. Place bowl in the oven with the light turned on until risen, about 1 hour.

I used white whole wheat flour along with the all-purpose flour in this pizza dough and really liked the end result, a chewy texture. I let my Kitchenaid mixer do the work for me, so this was a really easy dough to mix up.

I used a whole cup of whole wheat flour and they turned out amazing. I cooked them for 15 min then froze them in my deep freeze for a quick week night supper.

I have to say YUM! My family really enjoyed this whole wheat pizza crust. It had the right texture but a nice crunch to it. I'm a diabetic and it's hard to find good recipes that don't take much time. This recipe was fast and easy and delicious, thank you for posting this
