  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef; drain fat.
  2. Pour in tomato and French onion soups. Fill each can a quarter full with water to rinse the cans out. Pour into meat mixture. Add ketchup and brown sugar. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Let simmer for 30 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns.

This was as good as others said it was. The only problem is that I found it to be a little more runny than I would have liked, even after simmering for a few hours. I remied this by adding 1/8 ...

I didn't have any French onion soup, so I substituted a package of dry onion soup mix. It was really good. It tastes like Manwich only better because it's home-made!

This was very easy, and since it was a LOT of beef and I didn't want to halve it and waste the soups, I did as another reviewer suggested and froze the leftovers for a quick dinner later. I abs...
