"Soooo many people have told me they have never had ham gravy. Boy, are they missing out. This is my favorite meal; baked ham with mashed potatoes and ham gravy. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do."

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  2. Place ham in a large roasting pan, cut-side down. Press brown sugar evenly onto ham. Pour apple into roasting pan and cover with a lid or aluminum foil.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until ham is heated through, about 80 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). Let ham rest for 10 minutes before transferring to a serving plate. Pour remaining pan juices into a saucepan.
  4. Combine flour and milk in a jar with a lid; shake until mixture is blended.
  5. Bring pan juices to a boil. Slowly whisk flour mixture into the saucepan until gravy is thick, about 5 minutes.

I LOOOVVEE this recipe. . Ham gravy is the best..I use corn starch when I don't have many drippings because I have found with using flour with small amounts of drippings it makes it taste starch...

I used pineapple juice as the video suggested to make sure I had enough gravy... way too delicious!

I grew up with another version that had 6 oz. pineapple juice and yellow mustard ( about a tsp) or however much you want. I use French's yellow mustard

So true that people don't make ham gravy ? My mom and sisters always make it and its so easy. Ham drippings , corn starch, and maybe some extra beer to make enough so we don't fight over ther...

I make this most delicious and wonderful dish a little different. I always use a 10-12 pound smoked picnic, substitute apple juice for pineapple juice, pin sliced pineapples to the ham with too...

I only made the gravy but it was delicious and my guests were all pleasantly surprised - no one had eve had ham gravy before.
