New York System Hot Wiener Sauce I

New York System Hot Wiener Sauce I

42

"This hearty, flavorful wiener sauce is like the kind you'll find in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. It may be frozen until ready for use. Use premium grilled wieners cooked in butter, steamed hot dog buns and the fancy mustard of your choice. Spread with mustard, the sauce, chopped onions and celery salt... in that order. If you have a delicate digestive system, use with caution."

Too sweet, after being a Rhode Islander for 30 some odd years, I can taste the difference. I'm going to try a tomato paste rather than katchup in my next batch.

I found this too dry to simmer for an hour, so I added a small can of tomato sauce. It made a big difference. I also added some crushed red pepper. We had steak and hot dogs on the grill, and my...

This was something different and very good; we've used it on several occasions.

This is as fine a hot dog sauce as you'll find on the internet and I give it an additional 5 stars for ease of cooking. If you want a hot dog sauce that is easy, fast and suits everyone, you've ...

My entire family enjoyed this coney sauce! The only thing I did differently was cut the recipe in half and browned the meat with 1/4 cup of onion and 1/4 green pepper and I did omit the ginger...
