Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine cooled butter, egg, garlic salt and dried parsley. Pull off walnut size pieces of dough. Dip the bread pieces in the butter mixture and place in a lightly greased Bundt cake pan. When all of the bread dough has been placed in the pan, pour the remaining butter mixture over the top of the dough.
  2. Cover pan and put in a warm place until bread pieces have doubled in size. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes, until browned. Serve warm.

This recipe sounded great but I was a bit disappointed. It looked very nice but there was not much flavor to it. It needs a little something, but I'm not sure what!

I must admit I blew this recipe! Dinner got sidetracked and the dough ended up thawed in the fridge for 3 days before I used it. Even so, it was tasty...I used onion powder rather than garlic powder...it was quite greasy, even with a little less butter than in the recipe, but I don't know if that could have been affected by the long fridge time...but very good, and I'll try it again, right, this time!

Christine, thanks for the great recipe! I have 3 sons; they and my husband all raved over this recipe. My 8 year old loves helping me to make it as well. It's my most requested bread from my boys and their friends Mary
