  1. In a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt 3 tablespoons margarine. Add cabbage and onions. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender and browned.
  2. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  3. Stir cooked pasta into cabbage and add remaining margarine. Stir in cottage cheese and sugar; cook until heated through.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

This recipes is delicious. I made minor modifications -- cooked the cabbage and onions till very soft, used 2 cups cottage cheese, and added 1 lb. sliced, browned, & drained turkey kielbasa. I...

When I make this I use the bow tie pasta.It is a bit firmer and stands well with the cabbage.Also does not sog down when reheated. Hope this helps!
