Ingredients

1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and finely diced

Original recipe yields 1 - 10 inch tube pan

Directions

Prepare cake mix according to package directions for a 10 inch tube pan. Stir in the cinnamon and vanilla extract, then fold in the chopped apples.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.

"DELICIOUS! A boxed cake mix that doesn't taste like a "boxed cake mix"! I did add additional cinnamon and at least 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg. Didn't have a tube pan, plus my cake mix didn't have directio..." See morens on the box for one either. I used a bundt pan, baked at 375 for 30 mins. let cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan. A small amount of cake stuck in the pan (this may be because I was out of shortening so I had to use pam to coat). Very Moist and Very Flavorful. Topped with Butterscotch Sauce II recipe."
