Original recipe yields 1 10-inch Bundt pan
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, stir together cake mix and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in eggs, cream cheese, oil and vanilla. Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl, and beat 4 minutes on medium speed. Stir in blueberries. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

To compensate for the moistness I knew would be lost by using butter, I also added 2 T. of vegetable oil. I used a full pint of blueberries. Most of that tell-tale cake mix was gone, the butter added rich flavor, the addition of 2 T. of oil contributed the moistness I was after, and the cake was just bursting with plump, fresh blueberries. I used a specialty, swirled Bundt pan and the cake was just beautiful as well as delicious. I drizzled the cake with a shiny, white glaze of 2 c. powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1 T.corn syrup and 2 T. hot water. A commercial bakery couldn't have turned out a finer cake!"
