Original recipe yields 1 - 9 inch pie
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C.)
- In a saucepan, Mix brown sugar and flour. Add maple syrup, butter and salt. Heat until butter melts, stirring constantly.
- In a medium bowl, beat eggs with maple flavoring. Stir in sugar mixture. Pour into unbaked pie shell and sprinkle with walnuts.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until filling is set.

Also, since I am fortunate to have access to real maple syrup, I didn't use the artificial flavoring, cut back brown sugar to 1/3 cup and still this was too sweet; I will eliminate the brown sugar altogether next time- but there will definately BE a next time- YUMMY!"
