Original recipe yields 12 servings

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease a medium baking dish.
  2. Melt margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Place onions and celery in the saucepan. Slowly cook and stir until tender.
  3. Place bread in a large bowl. Toss in poultry seasoning. Stir in the onion and celery mixture. Mix in eggs and stir until all ingredients are moist and coated.
  4. Transfer mixture to the medium baking dish. Cover and bake in the preheated oven 20 minutes, or until lightly browned.

I added salt and pepper to taste, increased the poultry seasoning to taste, used whole wheat bread cut instead of torn, and I also added about a half cup of turkey broth made from the neck, gizzards, and giblets. Yum! This will be my standard stuffing recipe from now on."
