Original recipe yields 4 servings

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Sprinkle each flattened breast with garlic salt and pepper to taste on both sides. Lay a slice of ham onto each breast, then a slice of Swiss cheese. Roll each breast up like a cinnamon roll. Secure with a toothpick if necessary. Wrap a piece of bacon loosely around each roll. Place the rolled breasts in a 2 quart glass baking dish and pour in chicken broth.
  3. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the juices run clear. Broil for a few minutes before serving to crisp up the bacon.

Like the previous reviewer, I layered the ingredients instead of rolling. Chicken, shaved honey ham, shredded swiss cheese, bacon. Broiling at the end is a must! Tons of flavor. My husband thought leftovers would be good as a sandwich filling, so we're giving that a try!

It was GREAT!!! My picky boyfriend couldn't get enough!! I didn't roll them, just layered chicken, ham, cheese, ham, cheese, chicken, bacon on top..turned out super!!!

This was very good. I didn't bother to flatten the breasts, just left them as is. I put the ham on top and added the chicken broth--cooked, covered for 30 minutes, then added the cheese and used bacon bits and broiled for about 2 minutes. They turned out great and didn't have the mess of pounding the chicken. I'll make it again.
