  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Rub chicken breasts with salt and white pepper. Place chicken breasts in the hot skillet, and cook for about 10 minutes on each side, until the juices run clear.
  2. Meanwhile, place bacon in a saucepan over medium-high heat, and cook until crisp. Remove bacon, and drain grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the pan. Stir in some of the chicken broth, and scrape any bacon bits stuck to the pan. Pour in the rest of the broth, and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Add pears, and boil for 5 more minutes.
  3. In a small cup, mix together the cornstarch and water. Pour the mixture into the saucepan along with the green onions. Allow the sauce to boil until thick and bubbly, about 2 minutes. Crumble bacon into the pan. Serve sauce over chicken.

I'm rating this a 5 for my family. My kids and Hubby raved about this dish!Sauce was fine, if you like a roux type sauce. But instead of just browning the chicken on sides, I also poured sauce ov...

I'm sorry but this recipe did not have much flavor. Left remainder on stove and threw out in the morning. Chicken would probably be better baked, but don't know what to do with the sauce. It ...

Great idea! I did it quit a bit different and WOW! I used frozen chicken put in boiling water and added garlic while that was boiling on low, I cooked the bacon. After bacon was done I added 1 ...

The sauce was very bland. Not very good.

This chicken tasted great but was not real pretty looking. My kids liked it and that is what counts around here! I will make this again.

This recipe is pretty tasty but a little too labor intensive for our family. Also, we don't recommend serving it with white rice. The rice is too bland for this mild dish.

I loved it. I added baby Bella mushrooms and the green onions in the skillet. After cooking the bacon I tookit out and added that to the skillet. I made the pear sauce but also added white win...
