Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, fry bacon pieces until browned. Crumble the ground beef into the skillet with the bacon, and stir in the green pepper and onion. Continue to cook until the beef is no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease. Stir in the chili seasoning mix until the meat is coated.
  2. Add the tomatoes and beans to the skillet, mix well, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. (I always put my biscuits in just then, and they finish together.)

These are wonderful! Reminded me of a recipe my grandmother used to serve before the football games. I made no changes, however suspect grandma added extra brown sugar and ketchup. I thought this recipe was simply perfect as is.

great dish. Today I made this dish the second time, and it didn't taste as great as the first time. Maybe it's the chili seasoning, but one thing I always remember is that it's spicy for kids.
