  1. In a medium bowl, blend the cream cheese with brown sugar, allspice, nutmeg and cinnamon
  2. Spread 4 slices bread with the cream cheese mixture, and top with remaining bread slices, creating sandwiches.
  3. Mix eggs and milk in a shallow bowl. Dip bread into the egg and milk to coat thoroughly.
  4. Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium high heat. Cook coated bread slices 2 to 4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

This is really easy and really tasty. I used the sourdough bread I had on hand with some mixed berry cream cheese. It was still good. Next time I go to the store I think I will get the stuff ...

Very good french toast!! Other than reducing the nutmeg by half and adding a splash of vanilla to the egg mixture, I didn't change a thing. However, these make ALOT!! Perhaps I didn't "spread" e...

Really sweet and good. I made the mistake of topping it off with caramel sauce, which made it too sweet and rich for my taste. But the recipe is quite tasty.

This is a tasty breakfast/brunch treat. I added chopped walnuts to the cream cheese mixture for more texture--turned out great!

Very filling, very rich. Hubby loved it, kids were not impressed. I would not make that often.
