  1. Combine the milk and salt in a saucepan over medium heat, and bring to a boil. In a cup or small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in cold water. When the milk begins to boil, stir in the cornstarch mixture, and cook stirring constantly until it thickens, about 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat, and stir in the honey, butter, and vanilla. Pour into a serving dish, cover, and chill. To keep a skin from forming on the top, place a layer of plastic wrap directly on the surface.

I made this with two changes. I added four beaten eggs to the cold milk and let them heat together, being careful not to let it boil. And I used only half the cornstarch. It came out great.

I'm not a professional puddinhg maker or anything, but I'm almost positive this is missing something signifigant. Eggs maybe? More corn starch? I don't know but the end result of my try was runn...

I have to admit I cheated a little with this. Instead of watching a saucepan, I put my milk in the microwave and let it go for 3 minutes. (This always brings the milk to a froth in mine, but ti...
