  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente. Drain, reserving 2 cups of water.
  2. Bring the 2 cups reserved pasta water to a boil. Stir in olive oil, butter, 1/2 the lemon juice and the garlic. season with 1 tablespoon basil, parsley, salt and pepper. Boil 1 minute.
  3. In a large bowl, combine pasta with sauce. Toss with remaining lemon juice and basil. Cover, and refrigerate 5 hours or overnight.

I omitted the parsley, and cut way back on the pepper. I also topped the pasta with some diced cherry tomatoes and a splash of white balsamic vinegar. This was very fresh tasting. Thanks!

This was just ok,it definately wasn't worth 5 stars though.The papper was just too much,if I was to make this again I'd only add 1/2 Tsp pepper instead of the 1 1/2 Tbs called for.

This is verrry good, nice fresh taste, very simple and easy to make. I LOVE the added lemon, this would be delicious with spinach. I will make this again

Not bad for a quick side dish, but cut back on the pepper and lemon - once the pasta sits for a while they are very overpowering.
