Original recipe yields 3 dozen

Directions

  1. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Mix in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate, coconut and walnuts.
  2. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls, 1-1/2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 2 to 3 minutes; remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely on wire racks. Store in tightly covered container.
