  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil, and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add peanuts, and cook stirring, over medium heat until peanuts are evenly coated, and no syrup is left in pan. Spread nuts out on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to evenly roast peanuts.

These are great! I've made these twice and the second time I added a teaspoon of salt to the sugar mixture - oooh, they were really tasty. They tasted like the peanuts in a box of Cracker Jacks...

These are easy to make and taste great (and I don't even like peanuts). It takes about 15 min to boil all of the water out of the mixture after the peanuts have been added. Doubling the recipe...
