Original recipe yields 1 - 8x8 inch quiche

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Unroll crescent dough, leaving it in one piece. Line a 8x8 inch baking dish with the dough; it should extend 1 inch up the sides. Prick dough with fork.
  2. Bake crust in preheated oven until golden, about 10 minutes.
  3. Layer the chopped ham, roasted red peppers, spinach, and Cheddar cheese in the baked crust. Beat eggs, milk, black pepper, and hot pepper sauce in a large bowl. Pour egg mixture over layered ingredients.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Turn oven to Broil and cook until browned, about 3 additional minutes. Turn off oven; allow quiche to rest for 10 minutes in cooling oven.

"This is delicious, we really enjoyed this for dinner. I chose to leave out the ham also. I had a problem with the baking time and directions. I followed as written, but the center of the quiche was c..." See moreompletely raw, and looked way too brown. I had to bake it 10 minutes more. I recommend just baking this for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees and just skip the broiler step. If you do want it brown, broil for a minute at the very end, be sure to take it out of the oven immediately. Thanks for sharing :)"

"I found directions for this recipe not clear. "Turn oven to Broil and cook..." Does that mean you put the dish under the broiler? Since "broil" was mentioned, I figured that is what it meant. I did..." See more that and the to of crust became black. Why not just say to "turn heat up to broil but leave dish in place in oven", if that is what is meant? My guys said "too much spinach"."

"A very tasty recipe. I did have trouble with the crescent roll dough; it kept sliding down the side of the pan when I was baking it. Perhaps I overworked the dough when prepping it for the dish, as ..." See moreit was quite oily. Next time I will use a traditional pie crust or simply make it without the crust."
