“Cube steak, potatoes and onion all wrapped up in a neat little package. This was a quick fast fix my mom always made for us. Now I make it for my family. It's easy and a meal all in one packet.” - by KATE MARIE

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Lay out 4 squares of aluminum foil. Place one cube steak onto each piece of foil. Spread margarine over the steaks, and season with salt and pepper. Layer one sliced potato over each steak, and a few rings of onion. Season again with salt and pepper if you like. Fold the foil around the food, and seal into a packet. Place packets onto a baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until the beef is no longer pink, and the potatoes are tender. Open carefully, as hot steam will be released.

"Quick and easy. I'm a big fan of all-in-one meals, and this is a good one. I thought it could use a little more pizazz, so next time I believe I'll jazz it up a bit with garlic and seasoned salt. ..." See more However, even my finicky hubby liked it, so it will definitely be added to my dinner rotation. ***I tried this again for dinner over the weekend and used seasoned salt, garlic and Worchestershire sauce. I also cooked it on the grill. It was much better this time and was an easy cookout item.****"

"I would season the meat with Worchestershire and soy sauce, sprinkle it with season salt and maybe some garlic salt. Makes it taste MUCH better. Also could do it in the BBQ with ground beef instead ..." See morefor 15 mins on each side."
