  1. In a large saucepan or soup pot, stir together the ketchup, cider vinegar, sugar, butter, red pepper flakes and hot sauce. Cook over medium heat until the butter is melted and the sauce is heated through. Use right away, or store in the refrigerator for up to a month.

This recipe ended up in my RB on a lark. I suggested it when we were praying Hurricane Earl would not touch our friends on the East Coast. I decided to give it a whirl for my Labor Day ribs. OMG...

I made this recipe to put on a smoked Boston Butt. I think it tastes great, maybe a little less sugar next time. Great thickness and not too much tomato flavor. Thanks for sharing!

Good base recipe but tweak a little and IMHO better. I use half cup of dark brown sugar instead of any white sugar. 1 tsp worchestire sauce and then follow the rest of directions.
