  1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Cook and stir ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until beef is browned, about 10 minutes. Drain fat. Mix in green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and onion.
  3. Pour beef mixture into a 2 quart casserole dish and top with Cheddar cheese. Spread mashed potato on top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until the pie is hot, and the mashed potatoes are golden brown, about 30 minutes.

I only rated this four stars because of the changes i made. First off i seasoned the mixture with garlic powder and johnny's seasoning salt, and insted of using a whole can of cream of mushroom ...

I didn't use cream of mushroom soup, and used ground turkey rather than beef. Also used onion powder (along with garlic and pepper) to season the meat. I flavored my mashed potatoes with hot cur...

I've never made shepard's pie - so I was surprised when my husband came home and knew exactly what it was. I couldn't stop nibbling at it. I did a few different things.. not major... but I coo...
