  1. Combine chicken stock and wild rice in a saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and simmer until rice is tender, about 45 minutes. Remove from heat.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the mushrooms, celery, and onion. Cook and stir until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the crumbled cornbread and poultry seasoning. Add the rice with chicken broth and the vegetables and mix well. Use to stuff a turkey or bake on its own. More chicken stock can be added if stuffing is dry.

This recipes was excellent, and I didn't rate it 5 stars simply because of prep time. It took 60 minutes for the wild rice to cook. The taste is great, and its visually appealing. The rice gives...

I doubled this and added a cup of matchstick carrots and three minced cloves of garlic in when I sauteed the vegetables. After I combined everything, I threw the whole lot in the crockpot on LOW...

This was great! I made it for Thanksgiving and it was requested again at Christmas! My family loved it. I added more mushrooms but otherwise kept the recipe the same.
