Directions

  1. Saute onions in butter or margarine until transparent. Place in 2-quart baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, beat eggs well. Stir in cream, and season with salt and pepper. Pour mixture over onions, and sprinkle cheese.
  3. Bake, uncovered, at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 15 to 20 minutes.

I thought this was a wonderful dish. It needs to be served hot - right out of the oven in order to fully appreciate the creamy sauce.

I made this 3 years ago for a family gathering and I have been asked to bring it again every year.

Good, but very greasy. I prefer "Moms Yummy Onion Casserole" on this site.
