  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Spread about 1/3 of the brown sugar in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Slice each hot dog into 6 pieces and wrap each piece with 1/3 slice of bacon. Secure with toothpicks. Arrange half of the bacon wrapped dogs in a single layer over the sugar in the baking dish. Sprinkle another 1/3 of the sugar over them. Top with another layer of bacon dogs, followed by the remaining sugar. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  3. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes in the preheated oven, stirring a few times. Once the bacon is crisp, remove the dish from the oven and transfer the contents to a slow cooker. Set on high for about 10 minutes, then set to low to keep warm while serving.

Good simple recipe, but so much better when made with Lil' Smokies (cocktail weiners). Everyone loves them!

A great party hit! They are not the most beautiful things but they are sooooo good! A keeper! Will make again. Thanks!! :)

I had my doubts, but it was a hit. I used Kielbasa instead.

These would rate higher if the bacon was partially precooked (to avoid so much fat mixed with the brown sugar sauce), & if the hot dogs were something smokey-flavored, like maybe L'il Smokies. I...

I made 132 of these tasty little things for my daughter's college graduation party last week. They were snatched up so fast I barely got a taste. We made them, as someone else suggested, by cutt...

These area always a hit at any get-together. I use nathans hot dog and thick peppered bacon. Yum.
