Directions

  1. In a saucepan bring sugar, cocoa, milk and butter or margarine to a boil. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir in oats, coconut, nuts and salt. Drop quickly from teaspoon on wax paper. Let cool.

I added 1/2 cup of applesauce instead of the butter, and the cookies turned out just the same.....but a little healthier!!

So yummy! We both ate them all up in 2 days. Only thing different that we did was omit the peanuts and put a tablespoon of peanut butter instead. :) I am going to make these again TONIGHT!
