  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan.
  2. Sift dry ingredients and set aside
  3. Beat eggs in large bowl until foamy.
  4. Beat in sugar gradually.
  5. Add vanilla.
  6. Blend in sifted dry ingredients.
  7. Mix in gumdrops and walnuts.
  8. Pour into pan and spread evenly with a spatula.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cut into bars while still warm.

I made this exactly as the recipe called for and it was dry, I thought it tasted some what like a sugar cookie with gum drops in it...did not care for it at all. My kids did not even eat it.

The bars were dry and the flavor did not compliment the gum drops.
