“I learned this style of cooking from my mother-in-law. This recipe will work with crawfish or shrimp. You can add as many lobsters as you want, but cook no more than two at a time.”

Adjust Servings

Original recipe yields 2 servings

  1. Pour the water into a large pot and add the onions, garlic, lemons, oranges, celery, black pepper, seasoned salt and jalapeno peppers. Bring to a full rolling boil and boil for 20 minutes.
  2. Add the lobsters and place a lid over the pot. Boil for 15 minutes (depending on the size of your lobsters). Remove the lobsters from the pot, and place in a colander under cool running water to stop the cooking. Serve.

Good recipe but if you are cooking Pacific lobster, as opposed to Maine lobster, shorten the cooking time to 10 minutes or the lobster will be a little tough.

This was great! The lobsters came out really good. The only thing I messed up was that I started up the water kind of late during dinner. Well, that amount of water takes quite a bit of time to start boiling! That's my bad - the recipe relly is perfect.

Great recipe! Yummy!
